11 Weeks!

How far along? 11 weeks! (Almost 12 now since this post is a little late! opps!)
Total weight gain/loss: -4 lbs, At my lowest I had lost 5 pounds due to the extreme food aversions I was having. Thank goodness that seems to have passed for the most part. I'm sure I will gain all my weight back soon plus plenty more! :)
Maternity Clothes? yes, maternity shorts. My shorts still fit, but the zippers don't do up all the way which can lead to some awkward situations grocery shopping when you try to get something off the top shelf...
Stretch Marks? Nope!
Sleep? Awful! I can't sleep until after 12:30 am, struggle to stay asleep through the night and wake up before 8:00 even when I can sleep in.
Best moment this week: Seeing our growing baby on ultrasound, announcing our pregnancy publicly AND hearing the baby's heart beat for the first time via doppler!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Looking forward to: The 12 week milestone on Thursday!
Miss anything? A good night sleep!
Movement? not for a while yet!
Food cravings? poutine. yum.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Paul burping.
Have you started to show yet? some days I really show (see the photo above!), others I have a little, barely there bump.
Gender: We don't know yet, I guess girl and Paul guesses boy.
Symptoms: breast tenderness, the lovely pregnancy constipation, exhaustion, light headedness to the point where I almost pass out most times I stand up.
Happy or moody most of the time? I was very moody this weekend but that's the first time I noticed it (Paul would insist differently), generally I'm very happy!
Labor Signs: No!
Belly Button in or out? In

We had our first official prenatal visit today! It went well. We found out my hemoglobin is low so the doctor put me on two iron pills a day. I am glad to have an explanation for my tiredness and light headed issue! I hope these symptoms clear up soon. Our due date is staying the same at January 16, 2014, the doctor said they generally don't change it unless it's a seven+ day difference. That was kind of a bummer, who doesn't want to be 5 days further along at this point in pregnancy! We found out that the OB we wanted to be referred to would not take us since we were high risk so we have been referred to a high risk OB and hope to hear from his office soon. At the end of the appointment we were able to hear the baby's heartbeat via doppler. It was amazing! We've only ever seen the heartbeat so it was a beautiful thing to hear! Bring on the second trimester!!
