27 Weeks!

Now announcing our baby girl's full name!
This picture is also a little nursery preview!

How far along? 27 weeks and 6 days! Bring on the third trimester!
Total weight gain: 14 lbs!
Maternity Clothes? Yupp, almost cold enough now to break out the maternity winter jacket!
Stretch Marks? Nope but getting very nervous that they might be on their way.
Sleep? booooo. That's all I have to say.
Best moment this week: Finally Deciding on our little girl's middle name! It was even Daddy's pick :)
Wedding rings on or off? On
Miss anything? Not having to go to the doctor 3 times in one week- yuck!
Movement? Lots! Movements are getting so strong these days!
Food cravings? Nothing weird!
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope
Have you started to show yet? hahaha.
Gender: Girl!
Symptoms: back pain and sooo tired!
Happy or moody most of the time? This week I've been quite moody. Poor Paul.
Labour Signs: No!
Belly Button in or out? Out. I felt Paul's belly button at some point this week and was amazed at how 'deep' it was. I forget what mine used to be like.
Looking forward to: Getting answers to my health concerns!

This week was the first time I didn't have Paul with me at my prenatal appointment. Of course it would be one where a major health concern arises. I have always had weird pains in my chest as if my heart is skipping beats but it would come and go and only happen on occasion. Well, in the past couple of weeks it has happened on a daily basis. I have a very strong family history of heart problems. This concerned the doctor leading to me having to get a Holter monitor (a heart monitor that I had to wear for 24 hours strait)and a referral to a cardiologist that follows pregnant women and a bunch of blood work to be done.

It is all quite nerve raking. We hope to get some answers about what is going on soon! I also received my Rhogam shot (ouch!) and did my glucose test this week. I didn't mind that orange drink at all. It was nice and cold and I didn't have to feel bad about drinking something so sugary- it was great!

Here's my little cutie keeping me company on the couch this week!

26 Weeks!

With my husband gone all the time these pictures are getting harder! Sorry for the awful phone pics!

How far along? 26 weeks and 6 days! 3 Months today until Stella's expected arrival!
Total weight gain: 13 lbs
Maternity Clothes? Yes! I even bought a maternity jacket this week. Have to keep the bump warm!
Stretch Marks? Nope!
Sleep? better this week! I've been so busy this week, it's been wonderful for my sleep!
Best moment this week: Our maternity photo shoot. So hard to believe we are already at this point in our pregnancy. We really wanted to capture the fall colours and with Paul's crazy schedule Tuesday was the ONLY day that worked until November. Our photographer was so great, she's also expecting! I can't wait to see the photos!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Miss anything? Not having constant back pain. booooo.
Movement? like crazy! One time this week it felt like she was literally trying to claw her way out of the side of me using all 4 limbs. What a weird feeling!
Food cravings? Sugar, sugar and more sugar. You'd think I would be more excited about my diabetes test next week!
Anything making you queasy or sick? Over eating!
Have you started to show yet? of course!
Gender: Girl!
Symptoms: This week we noticed a bump developing on my back. It seems to be my spine being pushed out. This would likely explain some of my back pain. We will be seeing the doctor soon and asking about it.
Happy or moody most of the time? Happy! Getting so excited to meet baby S!
Labour Signs: No! No more Braxton Hicks this week either. Thank goodness!
Belly Button in or out? Out and unable to be hidden by the belly band. sexy.
Looking forward to: Seeing all our photos from our maternity shoot!

Hard to believe this cloth diap will fit here in exactly 3 months!

I love my view.

Our chunky kitty. I feel like this sometimes these days!

Working away on Stella's room, here is a couple of my latest projects for it!

25 Weeks!

How far along? 25 weeks and 6 days! (Now I'm 26 and 1 day, I was waiting for a picture hence the awful make-up-less photo! :P)
Total weight gain: 13 lbs. yeah 13. I gained 5 lbs in the last week. Say what!!! I guess I will be talking to my Doctor next week!
Maternity Clothes? Yupp! With the colder weather coming I might need to buy a maternity jacket, booo!
Stretch Marks? Nope!
Sleep? Still hard to get comfortable, but at this point I am so tired that I am sleeping better.
Best moment this week: celebrating Thanksgiving with my families! We have so much to be thankful for this year!!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Miss anything? hot tubs! At this time of year it is so nice to be out in a hot tub. Guess it will have to wait until next year!
Movement? Crazy movement! Paul said to me the other day that it feels like I'm growing the next Michael Phelps. We went to see the movie Gravity yesterday and sat in the D-Box seats. I totally forgot I was pregnant! There was no warning against it for pregnant women though and the movement of the seat was adjustable. Well when the movie started Stella started jumping around like crazy! It's hard to tell whether it was just the loud noise or the movement as well.
Food cravings? Nothing weird! I'm loving the pumpkin pie this week, clearly by the 5 lb weight gain. :P
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nothing this week!
Have you started to show yet? I think we all know I'm huge by now.
Gender: Girl!
Symptoms: tired tired tired and lots of lower back pain.
Happy or moody most of the time? happy!
Labour Signs: No! But I did have to go to the hospital this week to pick up keys from my husband and he was working in L&D. The triage nurse thought I was there because I was in labour. haha!
Belly Button in or out? Out, it's starting to go flat.
Looking forward to: Our maternity photo shoot next week!!

24 Weeks!

How far along? 24 weeks and 6 days
Total weight gain: 8 lbs
Maternity Clothes? Yupp, Paul and I went into Thyme this past weekend for a sweater. I came out with 2 pairs of jeans, a dress and 5 shirts. Oh ya and two sweaters. Hate when that happens. :P
Stretch Marks? Nope!
Sleep? Fine as long as I have my pillow between my legs. If I forget about it, I won't sleep at all.
Best moment this week: Finding an awesome deal on cloth diapers! Only $1.77 a diaper. Can't beat that! There is a post in the making on our decision to cloth diaper so keep your eye out for that!
Another great moment: recognising more of our baby girl's patterns. A big one this week- she wakes up when I start moving around in the morning! It's really the only time of day I can rely on feeling her move around. I love it!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Miss anything? Nothing this week!
Movement? Lots and lots! I love it!
Food cravings? Nothing out of the ordinary this week except for maybe kiwis? lol
Anything making you queasy or sick? Standing for long periods of time. Church has been getting harder and harder the last few weeks, I think it has something to do with standing and singing at the same time. I just have to sit more. It's kind of embarrassing!
Have you started to show yet? More like have I started to look HUGE yet. We met another couple expecting late Dec and I looked massive compared to her! Amazing how every woman carries differently.
Gender: Girl!
Symptoms: cold sweats and hot flashes. Ugh these are awful. Not looking forward to menopause!
Happy or moody most of the time? Happy but definitely noticing that I get irritated easier these days. Sorry Paul! :P
Labour Signs: The dreaded Braxton hicks started this week. It was terrifying. The first one came when I sneezed. It felt like my uterus had turned into a rock. Then it went away. The next day it happened twice for no apparent reason. This time Paul wasn't home and I had no car. The second one that day was quite painful. Paul talked to the Dr's at his work and they said it was normal and to drink lots. I haven't had any more since. Thankfully Stella was quite active all weekend to ease my mind.
Belly Button in or out? Out. I no longer remember what it used to look like. When I'm done writing this I think I will look back at old pictures to remind myself.
Looking forward to: Meeting our little girl!! I can hardly believe I have only 15 weeks and 1 day until her expected arrival. I am cherishing each and every movement as time is going to just fly by and she will be here before we know it. I already booked her newborn photo shoot. Talk about crazy.
Paul and I finished making all our cloth wipes for Stella! A huge job crossed off our list. Amazing how I can be so excited about something I am going to use to wipe poop. Really though, how cute are these colours!

I found myself having a huge crazing for cookies one night so I made them from scratch. They are delish, Reese peanut butter cups chopped up in place of chocolate chips!
